The rubber band bracelet

When I was in class one day, we got to go to a lab where they had cadavers to work on. It was being able to practice intubation and other things. Well, as I was washing my hands afterwards I realized a very powerful lesson. I noticed I had my bracelets on ,which I wear everywhere, and I was concerned with what I got on them. I started to scrub them and then thought I better throw them away. Well I did and then something dawned on me. Does Jesus throw us away when we get dirt on us? Does He just say oh well I can get more bracelets. Well I thought I would just replace them with new ones. When Jesus gets a hold of us and we are full of dirt, He doesn’t throw us away, He cleans us and wipes us clean. We are the same but clean in His eyes. What would happen if we didn’t have that chance and just got thrown away each time we did something wrong. There would be no one left. We aren’t perfect by any means. Thank the Lord He loves us enough to just cleanse us and keep us close. When you see a dirty rag or dirty rubber band bracelet just remember , it washes clean. Jesus is in the business of cleaning and renewing things. He restores us!

A beautiful moment.

Sometimes you notice when things just happen on a day when your stressed or just feeling down. It just reminds me of how God loves us and sends little reminders to help us through the day , that we aren’t alone. This little guy just flew into my car while I was driving. I even tried to shew him out of the window. When he wouldn’t leave me, I realized how wonderful it was to see him up close. Just like this butterfly Jesus stays with us even when we are trying to shew Him away.

Matthew 11:28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Matthew 11:30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

A one way trip…

You were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.”— Ephesians 5:8

I was saved when I was ten. So I knew God was with me. I never doubted that. I prayed everyday for a miracle and a way out. The abuse with my ex lasted ten years and looking back I now see why. But, God didn’t leave me. He had a plan for me. I was scared and didn’t listen until it was almost to late. That week before I was able to escape I dreamed what would happen if I didn’t go. I could see my babies crying for me from the earth as I was saying goodbye to them. It was very emotional and I woke up in a panic and crying. I felt that urgency from the holy spirit telling me , he would kill me soon. I didn’t want my babies left without me. So I made an escape plan quickly that week. I finally decided to be afraid of God and not a man. What could man do to me. If I died I would at least know where I would be. I feared him way to long and wasted yet another year. I finally put my whole trust in God. I literally told God okay, keep us safe and we will try and escape. We left on foot because I didn’t have a car. We never looked back since. The Lord provided ever since that day. It was really amazing to see the steps and how he provided for us. We were able to get a ride one place to our destination of a women’s shelter. Finally at peace but a long road ahead we had to go.
